Director / entrepreneur Troy D. Stratos was born on April 13, 1966, at Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego, California. By the time he was a teenager, Troy was determined to live a life that would take him around the world. Raised in the California Bay Area, Troy was as precocious as he was prone to high drama-personality traits that served him well when, in 1984, he won a scholarship to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Manhattan.
